KAILASA LOS ANGELES, USA on 1/7/20212021-01-07A photograph of a gold-coloured metal deity murti standing on a grey stone slab, being bathed in a cascade of water poured from a vessel held by a person in an orange-red garment. The murti is a standing figure with an ornate crown, elaborate jewellery and a rudraksha-like garland, with a stepped gold pyramidal base or meru-like form beside it. Yellow flowers lie scattered on the wet stone. Only the pouring hands and orange-clad lower body of the person are visible, so the official is only partly shown. This appears to depict an abhishekam bathing ritual.2007-10-25Inside a temple shrine with red curtains, a person in a teal and embroidered tunic and a blue face mask pours water from a dark metal vessel over a small bronze deity murti standing on a pedestal in a large brass tray. Behind them, a larger blue-and-gold clad deity murti holds a trident-like weapon, with flower arrangements, a brass kalasha-style lamp and trident on the right. Plates of fruit, sweets and offerings are set on a white-draped table. The person wears gold bangles and beaded necklaces.2020-11-13 +1 copiesPhoto 82870812022-05-22 +1 copiesJune 23 20132013-06-23ADIKAILASA on 8/21/20212021-08-21KAILASA LOS ANGELES, USA on 7/15/20192019-07-15KAILASA DHUMBARAI, NEPAL on 12/7/20202020-12-07A photograph of an abhishekam being performed on a small gold-coloured deity murti with a crown, dressed in a magenta and black garment with teal trim.
