A golden metal deity murti stands on a tiered pedestal and is being bathed with water poured from a brass vessel held by a person in orange-saffron robes. Water sprays in arcs around the figure and over the wet stone platform, with a few red flowers at the lower left. The murti wears a tall crown and jewellery, and the person's white dhoti shows at the right edge. This is an abhishekam ritual.

A photograph of a gold-coloured metal deity murti standing on a grey stone slab, being bathed in a cascade of water poured from a vessel held by a person in an orange-red garment. The murti is a standing figure with an ornate crown, elaborate jewellery and a rudraksha-like garland, with a stepped gold pyramidal base or meru-like form beside it. Yellow flowers lie scattered on the wet stone. Only the pouring hands and orange-clad lower body of the person are visible, so the official is only partly shown. This appears to depict an abhishekam bathing ritual.

A photograph of an abhishekam being performed on a golden-hued metal deity murti standing on a square base, beside a tiered golden sri chakra-style meru or shrine piece. A person in an orange-red garment and a rudraksha mala, with silver bangles on the wrist, pours water from a large brass pot over the deity. Water streams down over the figure, which wears a tall crown, layered necklaces and a long garland. A dark polished stone basin stands behind, and a second person in white dhoti is partly visible in the background.

A photograph of a temple abhishekam at a shrine. A person in a dark red garment and a rudraksha mala pours water from a brass vessel over a tiered metal sri yantra or meru-style base, water cascading down its steps. Beside it stands a small bronze deity murti with a tall crown, layered necklaces and a pink flower offered at its base, with a pink flower also on the stone ledge. Dark stone walls and warm lamp light form the background.

A metal pot is being tipped so water pours over a golden deity murti standing on a pedestal, dressed in orange cloth with a crown and silver necklaces. A person in an orange and red sari with gold border and gold bangles pours the abhishekam. Another white-streaked orange-draped murti stands at right on a decorated base.

A photograph of an abhishekam being performed on a golden deity murti and a golden kalasha-shaped vessel. A person in an orange saffron garment pours water from a brass vessel over the golden pinnacle-topped object on a stone slab, water splashing outward. Beside it stands a gold-coloured standing deity figure adorned with a tall crown, necklaces and a garland, holding a lotus-like object, with rose petals scattered on the stone. Behind is a dark polished stone pillar with carved panels, and a figure in white clothing stands at the back. Only the orange-clad pourer's hands and lower body and the partly visible white-clad figure are shown.

A photograph of an abhishekam ritual at a temple. A golden deity murti stands on a footed pedestal with a small golden tiered base, and water pours over it from a large brass vessel held by a priest wearing an orange cloth and white dhoti. Red flower petals lie on the wet floor, and a woman with a white forehead band and red bindi, wearing an orange garment and bangles, sits at the left edge looking on. Water droplets spray around the murti.

A close photograph of an abhishekam being performed on a small bronze murti of Subramanya (Murugan) holding a spear (vel) and a flag. A hand in a red sari-style garment with gold-bordered hem and gold bangles pours water from a metal vessel over the figure, which stands in a shallow basin with yellow flowers floating nearby. Water cascades down the bronze, and an ornate gold-toned wooden structure appears at right.

A metal utsava murti of a deity, shown in a bronze or brass finish with a tall crown, earrings and a dark maroon shawl draped over its shoulders, is being bathed with water poured from a vessel held by a dark hand at the upper left. Water streams over the figure's head and body as part of an abhishekam. Behind it, a seated person in orange saffron robes and layered gold necklaces is partly visible at the upper right, with gold-and-green decorations and a red cloth in the background.
