A photograph of a man seen from behind, bare-shouldered and wearing a maroon and yellow-bordered ochre cloth wrapped around the body, with a long yellow and red marigold garland around his neck and a rudraksha mala visible at his back. He stands with his right hand pressed against the trunk of a large banyan tree with thick aerial roots, bowing in reverence. Behind him, several figures in matching maroon and yellow robes stand with palms joined in anjali. Dense green foliage and a dirt ground surround the sacred tree.

A photograph of an outdoor ritual at a large banyan tree. A man with long dreadlocked hair, wearing a maroon-brown upper cloth and rust-red lower cloth, bows with his palms pressed together and his forehead against the aerial roots and trunk, a white and yellow flower garland hanging from his neck. Behind him, a line of saffron and orange-robed sannyasis and devotees stand with hands folded in prayer; one holds a striped multicolour umbrella-style canopy over the group, and one white-clad man wears a gold necklace. Red earth covers the ground, and a striped cloth lies in the lower-left foreground.

A young woman with long dark hair pulled back stands embracing the thick trunk of a banyan tree, her cheek resting against the bark and her eyes closed. She wears a cream and gold-bordered sari with an orange shawl draped over her shoulders, and a small bindi is visible on her forehead. Green foliage and tree trunks surround her in an outdoor setting, with a light-grey pole to the right.

A photograph of a bare-chested man in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl standing barefoot on a small red-and-pink patterned mat, leaning his head against the trunk of a large banyan tree with aerial roots. He wears a rudraksha mala necklace, rudraksha bracelets on his arm and wrist, and a flower garland woven into his upturned hair. His eyes are closed and his posture is still and reverent. A pink flower garland hangs on the trunk to the left. Behind him are a white-walled raised platform, bare earth, stone blocks and an orange boundary wall in an open courtyard. The man is shown as a devotee in meditative stillness; no identity is asserted from appearance.

Outdoors under a large banyan tree with dense aerial roots, a man with long dreadlocked hair and a rudraksha-style garland of white and yellow flowers presses his palms and forehead against the trunk in worship. He wears a dark brown-red cloth wrap over his shoulders and an orange-brown dhoti. Behind him, a line of devotees in saffron and orange robes stands with joined hands, some holding a multicolored fringed umbrella-like canopy, while a man in white dhoti and gold necklace stands at left. A stone platform sits at the base of the tree at right. Wet paved ground and a mossy trunk suggest rain.

A photograph of a single man standing barefoot on a small red-and-maroon woven mat beside a large banyan tree with many aerial roots and thick trunks. He wears a saffron-orange dhoti and a matching orange shawl draped over one shoulder, a long ceremonial garland of yellow-orange beads and a rudraksha-style mala, gold bangles, and a white tilak on his forehead. His long dark hair is swept back and he gazes downward with hands at his sides. Around him are sandy ground, low concrete platforms, bare trees and a tree-trunk support pole.

A photograph of a devotee standing with palms pressed together in namaskar before a large old banyan tree with thick aerial roots and hanging vines. The devotee wears a rust-red garment with broad golden-orange borders and a white flower garland with red blossoms around the neck.
