A night-time photograph on a dirt road lit only faintly by a roadside light on a pole at left. On the right foreground, a man in saffron-orange robes and a saffron turban walks in profile, wearing rudraksha beads and orange sandals, with a shadow cast on the ground. Behind him, a line of four to five people in white dhotis and white clothing, some with orange shawls over their shoulders, walks in the same direction. The scene is dark and dusty, with dark shrubs at the right edge.2008-11-11Night photograph outdoors beneath a large dark tree at an ashram. A barefoot man in a long orange saffron cloth walks forward with eyes lowered and a red tilak on his forehead, his shoulders bare, his hair long and swept back. Behind him, several people in white clothes with orange shawls carry a lit oil lamp and a red woven basket. On the right, a person in white kneels near a small red-draped altar and a brass vessel, while a deity murti in orange cloth sits on a red-and-white decorated base. Faint hanging roots and a lamp-lit ground frame the scene. a person: the walking figure in orange has long swept-back hair, a saffron cloth and a bare-chested ascetic presentation, but the appearance is not conclusive enough to confirm identity; the scene shows arati-style offerings with a lamp.2006-12-10A dimly lit night photograph of a group walking across a dark open ground toward the left. In the foreground on the right, a man in an orange saffron robe, orange head wrap and a long beaded rudraksha mala walks alone with his head lowered. Behind him, a group of about eight people in white dhotis and white shirts or kurtas, several with orange shawls draped over their shoulders, walk in a loose line. A tall illuminated lamp post stands at the left edge. The scene is mostly dark with faint lights in the background.2008-11-11December 20 20062006-12-20Night photograph on a dirt path beneath dark trees, with leafy branches framing the left and right edges. In the foreground a bare-chested man in an orange cloth wrap walks toward the camera, with dark swept-back hair and a ceremonial marking on his forehead; the page notes a person at this event, but his appearance alone is not sufficiently distinctive to confirm, so he is described by role as a devotee in orange. Behind him several people in white clothes and orange shawls walk in procession, one woman in white carrying a small lit oil lamp, and another person carries a red cloth bag. A red-painted mound or offering area with stones is visible in the background near a dim lamp glow.2006-12-10A night photograph of a group walking along a dirt path in an open, unlit area. Several men in saffron-orange robes lead the group, with some wearing white or light-coloured clothing behind them; a few carry small lights and torches that cast bright spots on the ground. Some people in the background wear white with yellow shoulder cloths. The surrounding landscape is dark with scattered debris at left. No individual can be clearly identified as a person from appearance; the figures appear to be devotees or sannyasis in procession.2009-11-16A night-time walk across a dusty reddish-brown open ground, lit by small torches and phone lights held by several people. In the centre, a bearded man in a long saffron-orange robe and saffron-orange shawl leads a group, with a rudraksha-style necklace visible at his chest. Beside him a figure in orange robes and a second orange-robed person walk ahead, while others in white kurtas and dhotis, some wearing yellow sashes, follow behind. A few people in dark clothing stand at the right edge. Construction debris and piled materials appear on the left in the darkness.2009-11-16A dim night photograph of a dirt path lit by a tall fluorescent tube light on a pole at left. Several people walk toward the camera between dark trees. In the centre, a figure in an orange-saffron robe with an orange head wrap and a rudraksha mala walks ahead of the group. To the right, a man in white dhoti and shirt with an orange shawl carries a dark bag, and another man in white bends beside him. A man in a light-blue shirt and grey trousers stands at left. Appearance cues for the central figure are limited, so the identity remains uncertain.2008-11-11Night photo of a procession on a reddish dirt path through dark trees. A central figure in a long orange-saffron shawl walks barefoot toward the camera. Behind him, a man in white dhoti and orange shawl holds a lit lamp, and another man in white dhoti and orange shawl carries a red-cushioned tray or palanquin topped with a golden kalasha-like finial. A third figure in white walks at the rear. Lush foliage frames the scene.2006-12-10Night photograph of a walking procession along a dirt path beside a red-and-white painted low wall. In front, a man in an orange saffron shawl and orange cloth, with long swept-back hair and a bare-chested upper body, walks forward. Behind him, two men in white kurta-style clothes with orange shawls walk; one holds a small torch or light. A man in white with an orange shawl is partly visible at the right edge. Dark trees and bushes fill the background. The front figure has distinctive long hair and saffron clothing, but the image is dark and blurred, so the identity is uncertain.2006-12-10August 05 20092009-08-05December 30 20092009-12-30
