On the right, a long-haired figure in an orange sleeveless garment leans forward, hands extended over a swaddled infant in cream cloth and a red wrap held by a woman in a peach-and-cream sari. A man in a white shirt on the left presses his palms together in greeting, and another person's hand appears at the top left. A gold-embroidered chair edge is visible at the upper right. Appearance-based label: Swamiji (probable), identified by the long swept-back hair and orange robe, seated and blessing the child. The woman wears a thin black beaded necklace and gold bangles.2010-01-11 +1 copiesPhoto of a naming ceremony. A young woman in an orange saree with long rudraksha malas hanging to her waist stands centre, leaning over a sleeping infant wrapped in a pale blue cloth with a red tilak on its forehead. A bare-chested man with a shaved head and a jasmine-and-pink-flower garland on his shoulders holds the baby's cloth, while a second man with long hair and a dark beard, wearing an orange-red shawl over bare shoulders and gold earrings, reaches toward a small red tray holding gold rings. Behind them, a man in a white dhoti and another bare-chested man stand in a temple setting with flowers.2017-04-17A seated figure on a golden throne wears a red-orange turban with a jewelled ornament, red-orange shawl, coral-red beaded necklaces, gold ornaments and gold bangles, and extends a hand toward a baby. A standing woman in a white sari bends forward holding a young child in a grey top, while a shaved-headed attendant in orange-saffron robes with white vibhuti marks stands behind, and another attendant in saffron clothes sits nearby. The backdrop is red and gold with a lit lamp. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure in turban and coral necklaces matches the page's Swamiji reference by ornate saffron clothing, turban and necklaces, presented as a blessing scene.2015-10-16A photograph of a small indoor ritual setting with beige curtains and a brass lamp on the right. A man with swept-back grey hair, a rudraksha mala and an orange shawl stands at left holding a red fruit. Beside him a woman in a red-and-maroon sari stands with hands cupped. Behind her a man in a white shirt and white dhoti holds a small child in red clothing. At right, a seated person in maroon-and-saffron robes with long hair, a rudraksha mala and gold garlands extends a red fruit toward a metal bowl. Two people are visible at left, and a white-clad attendant is partly visible at the far left edge.2014-07-10 +1 copies
