Outdoor evening scene on a wet muddy courtyard in front of red-brick buildings, with puddles reflecting the dusk sky. A red metal frame holds a hanging bell or ball. A large group of devotees stands in loose lines, many women in orange and red saris and some in dark or blue clothing, a few men in orange and dark shirts. Some hold objects and some stand near steel vessels. A bright floodlight glows at right. The gathering appears to be a Janmashtami celebration, but no individual can be confidently identified from the image alone.
