At the centre, a golden ratha or palanquin carries seated figures in saffron and orange robes, with attendants in white clothing standing beside and behind it. Above them a multicoloured canopy and golden umbrellas shade the procession. Many orange and red flags line the route, and a fence separates the crowd from the road. Several people in the crowd hold up phones and cameras. Tents and banners are visible in the background, one banner reading in Hindi about the Ujjain Simhastha Kumbh Mahaparv.
