A deity murti of Murugan (Subramanya) is seated on a gilded throne-like palanquin with an arched gold frame, decorated with thick garlands of yellow marigolds and red roses. The figure wears a golden crown, a vel-like spear held in the hands, layered gold and jewelled necklaces, and a tilaka on the forehead. Two consort figures stand flanking the central deity, wearing jewelled ornaments and red-and-white garlands. A golden peacock stands in front of the throne, and a green, red and yellow tasselled canopy hangs overhead. A dark backdrop with a painted temple tower is visible behind. The scene appears to be a festival or temple procession display of the utsava murti.
