Night photograph of a large dark stone shivalingam set in a reflecting pool, with a square stone platform at its base. Several people in white dhotis and white garments climb a tall metal ladder to the top of the lingam to perform abhishekam, some carrying vessels. Two figures at the summit wear saffron-orange cloth. Below, a row of women in cream and white saris and a few in orange and red saris stand at the water's edge watching. Terraced planters with green plants line the background and a bright floodlight glows in the dark sky.

Night photograph of a large outdoor lingam-shaped shivalinga installation rising from a broad circular silver-toned basin set on a square platform in a reflecting water pool. A long silver ladder runs up the front of the lingam, with white-clad figures climbing it in a line; a few wear white dhotis and some wear orange cloth near the top, apparently performing a ritual abhishekam. At the bottom, a group of people in white and cream saris and white dhotis stand on the stone steps by the water, some beside brass vessels and blue-capped containers. Bright floodlights illuminate the scene against a dark sky, with a wall of potted plants behind the pool.2011-10-11October 11 20112011-10-11October 11 20112011-10-11Night photograph of a ritual at an illuminated stepped tank with a large stone basin in the centre.
