A stage ceremony with a gold-and-colored snake-hooded deity murti (Nagakanya-style serpent canopy) draped in marigold and multicolored garlands, seated before maroon velvet drapes and a painted forest backdrop. A priest in a bald head, rust-red dhoti and shawl stands at left holding a lit oil lamp aarti toward the murti with a small bell in his other hand. At right, a figure in an orange robe and orange turban sits on an ornate gold throne with hands folded in namaste, wearing a pink flower garland and a gold necklace; the throne is an appearance-based a person candidate with only partial cues, so identity is uncertain. Rocks and potted plants sit at the stage edge.2015-04-29A photograph of a ceremonial stage.
