A photograph of a dusty open ground lined with palm trees, where a line of drummers in yellow uniforms with red sashes and red caps performs with large bass drums and cymbals. Several uniformed boys stand facing the same direction, playing drums mounted on straps. In the background on the left, a woman in an orange sari and an older woman in a red sari stand near a white building, with two men in white shirts and white dhotis nearby, watching the band. A thatched structure stands at the right edge beside a mound of earth.2009-02-04February 04 20092009-02-04A marching band of uniformed children in mustard-yellow tunics and dresses, with red berets and red sashes, plays drums and brass instruments on a dusty open ground in front of a white single-storey building with a columned verandah and palm trees. Drummers in the centre strike bass drums. On the verandah and right side, several people in saffron and orange robes stand near a grey car, with a woman in a red-and-gold sari and other people in white clothes gathered nearby. A small orange flag flutters on the left and a white vehicle is parked behind the band.2009-02-04Outdoor photo on dry, bare ground in front of a white building with a flat roof under construction, palm trees and a green field behind. Girls in mustard-yellow uniform dresses with red berets and red sashes stand in two lines, several holding brass instruments, with one holding a trumpet-style horn at lower right. A woman in a saffron-orange robe stands in the centre background among other people in white clothing, with a silver car parked at left.2009-02-04February 04 20092009-02-04A procession of drummers in saffron-orange dhotis and shawls, many wearing rudraksha malas and wrist bands, plays large white-faced drums and cymbals on a sandy path beside a red carpet. A young drummer in front wears an orange shawl, a white sash and a mala, with white tilak marks on his forehead, while others in the group carry drums slung at the waist. A row of colourful ceremonial umbrellas in red, green and yellow stands behind them, and a rangoli of red, yellow and white flower petals lies on the ground. Scaffolded stone pillars and a half-built temple hall with a tiled roof frame the background, with palm trees beyond.2017-12-30A photograph of a procession on a dusty unpaved road under a bright sky at an ashram compound. A group of people in yellow, red and orange clothing walks in a line, some carrying drums and tall orange-draped poles or palanquin-like staffs. A man in white dhoti and a man in a green-patterned shirt stand at the left edge, and a figure in orange robes stands further right near a white building and trees. Red and orange bunting is strung across the road. The scene reads as a festival procession during Brahmotsavam celebrations.2008-12-30October 12 20072007-10-12January 21 20092009-01-21December 16 20172017-12-16December 25 20062006-12-25A procession on a dirt path lined with palm trees and a steel-frame structure. In the foreground, a man in a dark brown polo shirt and khaki trousers carries a long red and silver ceremonial staff upright over his shoulder. Behind him, drummers in white kurta-pyjama uniforms with red sashes play large drums, and a group of men in dark shirts and white dhotis follow. Seated people in white clothes watch from a low brick wall on the left, and a man in a light blue shirt stands at the right edge. The setting suggests a Dwajarohanam flag-hoisting procession; no a person candidate is visible.2006-12-23
