Wide view of a large hall with a white draped ceiling and colourful cylindrical banners hanging overhead. Rows of seated devotees in white dhotis and shawls, many with white and red marks, raise small oil lamps or lit lamps in a collective ritual. In the foreground, a priest in saffron-orange robes sits on an orange cloth, with brass plates and vessels on mats before the row. Several monks in saffron robes are visible toward the left. A video camera on a stand films the gathering. No clearly identifiable a person is visible in the front rows.
