Aerial view of a ceremonial procession in a large tank with red-tiered stone steps. A decorated raised platform with a white-and-orange canopy stands in the water, carrying a central figure in orange robes seated amid garlands and flowers. Surrounding it, many men in white dhotis and white shirts wade or stand in the water, some holding flowers, forming a ritual procession at a temple pool. Spectators in white line the steps above. Appears to be a temple water ceremony with a palanquin-like platform.

In the centre, a figure seated on an ornate red-and-gold throne, draped in orange robes and a garland of red and orange flowers, is surrounded by marigold and floral decorations and orange-clothed attendants. Stone steps lined with small black lingams rise behind the water, with more white-clad people standing on them and a water fountain spraying at the left edge. The scene looks like a holy dip ritual in sacred waters.2010-01-02 +1 copiesSeptember 12 20102010-09-12Outdoor water ceremony at a red-tiered amphitheatre-style pool. A seated figure in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate golden throne under a decorated arch with floral garlands, while a fountain sprays water beside the steps. Numerous devotees stand waist-deep in the water, many women in white, red and green saris and men in white dhotis, some holding offerings. Children splash in the foreground. The setting resembles a Dasara celebration with a ritual bathing or abhishekam-style water rite.2010-10-17A photograph of a seated figure on an ornate golden throne with red cushions, framed by an arch of white, yellow and red flower garlands, placed in shallow water at the bottom of stone steps. The seated figure wears an orange-saffron garment, a red and white floral garland and an orange shawl. Around the throne, many men stand waist-deep in water: most wear white dhotis and white shirts with yellow sacred threads, several bare-chested, some in saffron or orange robes, and a few in purple or red. Many have shaved heads. Flower-decked idols and additional garlanded figures stand to the left, and a few onlookers watch from the steps and banks. The scene appears to be a ritual procession or bathing ceremony in water.2010-10-17July 22 20132013-07-22January 02 20102010-01-02 +1 copiesDevotees in white clothes wade through a shallow pool at an outdoor temple, pulling a flower-decorated float or palanquin topped with an orange canopy. The float is heavily garlanded with marigold and red flowers, with banana-leaf style greenery at its sides. Many people in white, some in yellow and red garments, hold hands in a chain and push or steer the float through the water. Red stone steps with railings rise behind the pool, and a figure in white stands on the upper steps. Several people in the foreground wade with arms linked. This appears to be a procession ritual in water, but no individual can be confidently identified as a person from appearance.2010-07-26June 09 20092009-06-09
