A small silver plate holding yellow turmeric or kumkum sits on a red mat before him, with a rudraksha mala on his wrist. Seated on the throne is a figure in a red turban and a white garland with a red-and-white flower garland, which I cannot confirm as a person from appearance alone; I describe the throne occupant only by role. Behind the throne is a standing fan and a white-and-red striped wall.2015-11-18November 18 20152015-11-18A seated man on an ornate gold throne with carved floral backrest and arch, draped with a tiger-skin rug and dark red cushions, smiles while raising one hand in blessing and holding a pink flower. The seated man wears a saffron-orange turban, an orange-red robe and a gold pendant necklace with rudraksha beads, and sits with palms pressed together in namaskar and eyes closed. A saffron-robed figure appears as an in-person presence on the throne; the page names Swamiji, and appearance cues of orange ceremonial dress, turban, and gold necklace support a probable identification. Behind the throne is a painted backdrop with a meditating figure and red fabric, and a fruit offering lies at the lower left.2016-01-31
