A woman in a purple sari and a child in blue stand in the foreground, and a man in a dark jacket faces away from the camera beside a roadside stall with small goods laid on cloth. Several women in saffron, orange and multicoloured saris walk ahead, and a porter balances a large white sack on his head. A red hatchback and a silver van are parked at left beside a tall red banner with portraits and Hindi text, and further banners and tents line the road.
