Outdoors under a bright sky with scattered clouds and tall palm trees behind. In the foreground a tall copper-clad ceremonial flagstaff with a carved wooden base rises on the left. Beside it a man in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala stands on the right, pulling an orange rope that runs up the pole, as the flag is raised. A second person in orange robes, shown only at the right edge, holds a brass plate. The scene suggests a flag-hoisting ritual.

Outdoor photo of a flag-hoisting at a tall copper-banded flagpole with a carved stone base wrapped in marigold and red flower garlands, a tree-of-life relief on the shrine-like section, and palm trees against a pale sky. Two men in saffron-orange robes stand at the pole. The nearer man on the right has a shaved head with a tilak mark, a gold-beaded necklace and a saffron shawl with gold border, and he holds the rope with one hand. The man in the center, partly turned away, grips the rope overhead with both hands and wears a rudraksha mala. The flag, a folded red-orange cloth, is rising on the rope at the top of the frame. The photo is taken from below, with sunlight flaring behind the palms.

Outdoor photo of a flag-hoisting ceremony beside a tall ornate red stone pillar wrapped in yellow and magenta flower garlands, with carved relief panels. A standing man in orange robes with long hair and a rudraksha mala raises his arm and holds a rope that runs up toward the pillar top. Beside him, a bald man in orange and gold-bordered cloth bends forward, pulling on another rope. Tall coconut palms and a pale sky fill the background.

Outdoor photo beside a tall bronze-coloured ceremonial pillar wrapped with yellow and magenta flower garlands, with a carved relief panel and a small dark stone figure at the left. A figure in an orange robe with a tan shawl bows forward, head down, holding an orange-wrapped object against the pillar, a gold-coloured bead necklace at the chest. Two more men in orange and white robes stand at the right edge, one bald and one with a shaved head, looking on. Palm trees and a pale sky sit behind. The orange-clad figure's identity is uncertain from appearance; the shaved-headed men are priests or devotees in saffron and white.

Outdoor photo beside a tall palm grove and pale sky. On the left, a red-brown ornate stone pillar with a carved tree relief and a shrine-like top is draped in yellow and orange marigold garlands with dark maroon flowers. A saffron-robed man with long braided hair, a red tilak and a beaded rudraksha-style mala stands at centre, one arm raised holding a rope that runs up toward the top of the pillar. At right, a bald saffron-robed monk in an orange shawl with a yellow border bends over and pulls on the same rope. Their actions suggest a flag hoisting at the top of the pillar.
