A man with long dark dreadlocked hair piled high in a turban-like crown, a red tilak on his forehead and a short beard, stands bare-shouldered with his palms pressed together in namaste. He wears layers of multicoloured flower garlands in red, yellow, white and green, plus heavy gold ceremonial necklaces with black beads and rudraksha malas on his wrists and arms. Behind him, a silver trident and a silver ceremonial staff with crescent finials stand out, and several people in saffron and orange robes are visible in the background, one with palms folded. The wrapped white-and-gold sash and layered ornaments suggest a formal ritual setting. The setting appears to be an indoor temple or hall with greenery at the top. Visible cues include the crown-like hair, ornate gold necklaces and garlands, which support the appearance-based label Swamiji (probable) for this figure.2018-04-14 +1 copiesApril 14 20182018-04-14 +1 copiesApril 14 20182018-04-14April 14 20182018-04-14A man seated on an ornate gold throne with a large golden sunburst-style backrest, draped in a leopard-print cushion. He wears a leopard-print turban with a red tilak on his forehead, a long garland of white, yellow, pink and green flowers, gold chains and a gold pendant, and a rust-red robe. He holds a silver staff topped with a snake-shaped finial in his right hand and smiles. Golden floral garlands decorate the throne, and string lights glow in the background.2017-08-25 +1 copiesApril 14 20182018-04-14 +1 copiesA seated man with a tall coiled dark topknot wears a rust-brown garment and heavy gold ceremonial necklaces with carved pendants, plus gold armlets and bangles. He has a vertical red-brown mark on his forehead and looks down at a small heap of white granules cupped in his palm, while a corner of another person's hand and orange clothing appears at the lower left. Behind him is a backdrop of yellow and red marigold garlands and green leaves. The composition suggests a ritual offering moment.2016-07-19April 14 20182018-04-14November 24 20172017-11-24A smiling man with long dark hair and a short beard is seen outdoors in bright sunlight, wearing heavy layered gold necklaces and a large garland of red roses, yellow marigolds and pink lotus blooms over a pink-orange garment. A red tilak mark sits on his forehead and a green leaf is tucked into his hair. Behind him, blurred red umbrellas and other figures in white and orange suggest a procession. The scene is a close portrait during an outdoor procession with a festive crowd, and the man appears to be a ceremonial figure whose identity cannot be confirmed from appearance alone.2017-12-31September 09 20162016-09-09 +1 copiesMay 31 20182018-05-31
