Overhead photo of an outdoor puja at a temple-style event on red and blue mats. Seated people in saffron-orange robes surround a white cloth laid with offerings: bowls of sweets and nuts, sliced oranges and red apples in silver dishes, a silver lamp and small brass vessels, and marigold garlands. At right, a gilded throne-like seat holds a silver tray of yellow flowers. Several devotees wear orange garments, rudraksha-style beads and gold necklaces, and one holds a long ceremonial staff wrapped in orange cloth. The scene suggests a ritual offering of food and flowers.

Behind it, a red carpet and blue cloth are laid out, with a standing man in white clothes and an orange sash walking across the carpet, and several seated people in white, yellow and red garments. A man in an orange shawl sits at the right edge beside a tall brass stand, and brass lamps are arranged along the top of the carpet.2009-01-01January 01 20092009-01-01Overhead photo of a ritual offering spread on a white cloth edged with marigold and white flower garlands. Silver bowls hold nuts, sugar cubes, dried fruit, halwa-like sweets, and flowers; apples, oranges and a pile of Cadbury-style chocolate bars sit in steel and silver dishes; silver spoons and small silver cups are arranged in front. Partially visible at the edges, seated figures wear saffron-orange robes, one holding a cloth-wrapped object near a blue backdrop and another wearing a ring. No identifiable face is shown, and no one is clearly a person from the visible cues.2009-01-01A photograph of a ritual offering spread on a white cloth, viewed from above. Three people in orange robes sit at the edges; only their lap, arms and hands are visible, and one wears gold bangles and a wristwatch. An ornate gold-coloured stand holds a red cushion. Silver bowls and vessels hold rice dishes, sweets, nuts, dried fruit, fresh oranges, apples and bananas, as well as a kumkum dish and a silver pot. Yellow and orange marigold garlands and loose flowers decorate the cloth, with a bowl of pink and white flowers at left. Yellow marigold strands and folded orange cloth lie nearby. The arrangement suggests a naivedyam offering, but no deity form is visible.2009-01-01December 26 20082008-12-26 +1 copiesOverhead view of a ritual offering table laid with a white cloth and orange-bordered marigold garlands. Silver and steel bowls hold offerings: pink and white flowers, yellow flower petals, cashews, almonds, dates, raisins, sweets, and white and yellow prasadam. Silver pots, a small silver lamp and incense sticks stand among yellow marigold blossoms. A folded saffron-orange cloth with a striped border lies beside containers of turmeric and red kumkum powder. At the right edge, an ornate gold-carved seat or throne and a partly visible figure in orange robes appear. The scene suggests an offering or puja arrangement; no people are fully visible.2009-01-01Outdoor temple ritual on a stone floor. A seated man in orange robes with a gold-bead necklace and a red-orange pendant sits cross-legged with hands folded, beside a silver tray holding silver bowls of yellow and white flowers, a red kumkum-like item, a small silver pot, and offerings. Another seated man in orange robes with a gold garland holds a tray of petals in front of him. Behind them, other orange-robed participants sit on the ground and a brass tray of marigolds and roses rests on the floor. A small oil lamp burns on a silver plate, a white book lies open on a blue folder before a shaven-headed man in the foreground, and pink and white flower garlands hang at right. Visible offerings and lamps suggest a puja or abhishekam.2011-12-20December 26 20082008-12-26
