A ground-level photo of a construction or ritual foundation pit. Yellow-painted bricks, some marked with red kumkum dots and scattered rose petals, line a square excavation around a white-and-red painted wooden pole standing upright in the centre. Bare feet of people in maroon and rust-coloured robes stand at the top edge, with a pink and green cloth mat in the foreground and a pile of reddish earth at right. No faces are visible, and the scene shows a foundation rite rather than a named event.
