Outdoor ceremony at a temple-like courtyard with tiered stone steps lined with seated devotees in white and orange. A large stone lingam-shaped structure draped in multicolour flower garlands and stripes of red, yellow, green and blue stands at centre, with several young men in orange and bare-chested attendants on its top platform. In front, a golden throne with a radiant backrest holds a seated figure in orange robes, flanked by attendants and brass pots and lamps on a red stage. Black deity murti statues line the tiers on the right, and an orange building with a sloped roof sits behind. A yellow-railed staircase climbs the platform, and several small figures in orange and white stand on the lingam's upper section. Along the stepped stone terraces at left and right, many people in white and orange clothing sit in rows, with a tiered red-brick building and palm trees behind. Potted plants line the water's edge in the foreground.2013-12-27February 19 20152015-02-19November 27 20162016-11-27 +1 copiesA large dark grey Shiva lingam stands on a square platform in a water tank, dressed with bands of marigold garlands in orange, yellow, white and purple, with a garland draped over its top. Yellow marigold garlands also wrap the railing of a metal staircase leading up to the platform. On the stepped stone seating behind, several saffron-robed monks stand near the top, and a large seated audience in white and red clothing fills the terraces, with two saffron-robed figures seated in orange chairs on the left side near umbrellas. Mirrored water reflects the scene at the base. The setting suggests an abhishekam ceremony, with a decorated kalasha-like arrangement and banners visible in the background.2013-12-27Outdoor photo of a large Shiva linga covered in marigold and multicolored flower garlands, with a golden hooded cobra-like ornament at its upper section, set on a flower-draped platform. In the foreground at left, a seated figure in red robes with a flower garland sits on a golden throne-like seat beside a golden trident and ritual pots; the figure's identity is uncertain from appearance, so only the role of seated figure is given. Several bare-chested and saffron-clad priests sit or stand on the right tending the platform, and a large audience sits on tiered stone steps at left and right. Red-and-white flags and a red building stand in the background under a clear blue sky.2016-12-19December 27 20132013-12-27
