A photograph taken at dusk on a wide, grey river. In the foreground a bare-chested man with wet dark hair is submerged to the shoulders, his hands cupped at his face as if washing or offering water. To the left another man stands waist-deep in the water with his arm extended and a small hand gesture. A small lit lamp floats on the water at left-center, and a flat-bottomed boat with a canopy and a few seated people sits in the distance. Pale hazy sky and far shoreline complete the scene. No identifiable a person candidate is visible.
