October 06 20142014-10-06A photograph of a padapuja-style ritual in a temple room with black stone walls and a closed wooden door. A bare-chested man with swept-back dark hair, a white tilak on his forehead, a long orange-and-maroon wrap and a long garland of beads sits on a gilded throne with a golden lion-form base, smiling and resting his bare feet on a tray of red flowers. Several devotees kneel around silver trays holding small silver bowls, red flowers and offerings: a woman in a green sari, a woman in white, an older woman with grey hair, and a man in a grey shirt touching the flowers. Brass oil lamps and hanging bells stand near the throne, and a colourful deity statue stands at the right edge. Two people are visible at the back among the offerings.2014-10-06October 06 20142014-10-06January 04 20152015-01-04August 29 20142014-08-29A golden throne with a leopard-print cushion and a gold lion figure at left holds a bearded man in a red-brown robe, a gold crown, and a pink-and-white flower garland, holding a silver staff. Before him a low wooden table is laid with silver thalis of flower petals and offerings. Women in white saris with saffron and kumkum markings sit cross-legged, one holding an incense or lamp. Brass bells and hanging oil lamps are above. The mood is ritual puja and satsang.
