Several saffron-robed sannyasis with shaved heads and rudraksha malas walk in the centre, one in a red turban garlanded with a white and red flower garland. Drummers in white shirts and maroon lungis play drums and cymbals in the foreground, with white-clad devotees following. A large banner with a portrait hangs from the canopy, a palm tree and a green gate stand at left, and a small pennant flies beside the path.2014-06-26February 18 20112011-02-18 +1 copiesA procession at an outdoor ashram courtyard under a shade canopy, with palm trees and a red-painted pillar behind. Saffron-robed sannyasis walk in a line, several with hands folded in anjali, and one drummer on the left beats a drum. A man in a maroon dhoti with a gold-toned garland of flowers leads the group, holding his hands together. Beside him a young man in saffron cloth carries a silver tray with a plant sprig. On the right a man in a white dhoti with gold borders holds a tall ceremonial parasol, and a woman in white stands near him. The scene resembles a ritual procession.2013-11-22December 22 20182018-12-22November 22 20132013-11-22Photo 11742835December 22 20182018-12-22 +1 copiesAn outdoor photograph of a procession on a dirt path beneath dense green trees. Four attendants in white dhotis and white shirts hold large decorated ceremonial parasols and banners: at left a tall red and gold banner, and at right a red, orange and white parasol with tassels. In the centre, a group of saffron-robed sadhus walks forward, with one in a saffron shawl and another carrying a red and gold drum-like object. A few other attendants in white stand behind them. The setting suggests a ritual procession.2006-11-21December 29 20072007-12-29
