Wide photograph of a stage in the Sir Muthiah Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall, with the banner reading Sir Muthiah Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall above a marigold-garlanded backdrop of orange and white. A long line of people in white, cream, saffron and colourful saris stands on the stage, while a figure in a red garment sits at the centre near a decorated golden chair. Stage lights hang from a truss overhead, and audience members in silhouette occupy the foreground. The scene appears to be a darshan line on stage.

Dark red curtains and gold valance frame the stage, and an audience sits in rows of seats in the foreground. A small framed portrait hangs at the left side of the stage. A seated figure in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne at centre stage, with a white-clad attendant in white beside the throne. A long line of devotees in mixed saffron, orange, white and colourful sarees and shirts stands along the stage, some with children, approaching in turn. Behind the throne a backdrop is hung with marigold garlands and small hanging lamps, with a dark maroon draped valance above and an ornate banner at top. The audience's silhouettes are seen at the lower edge in the foreground. The seated figure's identity cannot be confirmed from appearance, so the role is described as a seated guru receiving darshan.2009-02-14
