Night-time outdoor scene on bare earth at an evening ceremony. A large fountain of bright sparks and smoke erupts from a firework or pyrotechnic at centre, with small oil lamps set on the ground. Around it, a group of people in white ritual clothes stands and moves, some in white dhotis and shirts, others in white with yellow shawls. At left, a man in an orange-saffron robe stands beside two yellow-and-orange ceremonial banners on poles, and a person in white holds a long-handled item. On the right, men in white with rudraksha-style beaded necklaces and a woman in an orange-red sari face the fire. Trees and dark sky frame the background.
