Photo of a night procession with a large painted clay Ganesha murti on a wheeled cart beneath a corrugated roof. The deity has a raised trunk, a golden crown, gold ornaments and an orange and green garment. A man in a white dhoti with a gold waist sash stands on the cart steadying the murti. Around the cart, devotees in orange and saffron garments, many with rudraksha malas and vibhuti on their foreheads, crowd together, with bright floodlights overhead.

In front of the deity's pedestal sits a smaller red-robed figure with a red turban and folded hands raised in a blessing gesture, appearing to be a painted or printed figure rather than a living person. Around them, devotees in white dhotis and orange turbans gather, and a bare-chested priest in white holds a ritual object near the platform. The setting appears to be a temple or ashram festival space with a striped red and white wall.2017-09-03September 03 20172017-09-03A photograph of a large Ganesha murti with a gold crown, pink trunk and orange-and-green draped garment, seated on a dark cushioned platform on a wooden carrying board. Several people in saffron or orange clothes and a long-haired figure with dreadlocks in an orange robe lift and steady the platform from the front and sides, while others in white dhotis with gold borders stand nearby. Smoke or incense drifts through the scene under a tented corrugated-metal shed decorated with pink cloth and string lights. Hands raised toward the murti suggest a festival procession or ritual carrying.
