Photograph of a large black Shiva lingam with a yoni-style base and decorated face panels, set in a shallow pool where many devotees stand waist-deep in white clothing, some in yellow and pink. Water sprays from the lingam. Behind it, a red tiered stepped structure holds a decorated golden canopy and arch. A seated figure in saffron-orange robes sits on a golden throne under the canopy, with garlands and flowers around it. Bare trees, unfinished concrete buildings and railings frame the scene. Devotees in white bathe and wade toward the lingam in a ritual immersion.
