The deities are seated under a gilded arch in a temple-like pavilion. In the foreground a small figure in orange and a white shawl with garlands sits beside ritual brass vessels, and a seated man in orange robes sits at the left edge. A brass lamp stand and kalasha-type vessels surround the altar. Some garland-decorated golden structure is placed before the murti.2009-12-30A shaven-headed man in orange robes stands at left, holding a brass lamp aloft before a shrine. Behind him, two gilded deity murtis with crowns and red-and-teal silk garments stand beneath a red curtain, adorned with yellow and orange marigold garlands. In the foreground a white statue wearing an orange cloth and red garland sits beside silver ornaments, brass lamps and vessels on a tray. Smoke rises in the morning light beside a carved temple pillar, with a green hedge and fence behind. The scene suggests aarti at a temple shrine.2010-11-11A photograph of a temple ritual in an open pavilion. A man in a sleeveless saffron-orange garment with a white flower garland stands at left, holding up a tall brass aarti lamp with a lit flame toward a deity pair. Behind the lamp, a seated golden deity murti in a red garment and crown, with a garland of yellow, orange and purple flowers, is framed by a large floral arch. Brass oil lamps and a kalasha-like gold object sit on the altar in front. A second saffron-clad seated figure with a garland is at lower left, and a man in white stands at the far left edge. The scene reads as aarti during puja, with the people visible partly and the figures identifiable only by clothing and role.2009-12-30A temple abhishekam scene before a golden deity murti of Shiva and Parvati seated together, draped in red silk and garlanded with yellow, red and purple flowers. In the foreground, a figure in a flowing saffron-orange robe with long dark hair and a rudraksha mala pours liquid from a small vessel over a black shivalinga on a dark stone yoni peetha, holding a brass bowl. Two more figures in saffron-orange garments kneel and stand nearby at the left. A white marble statue of a seated figure sits in front of the altar, and a tall brass oil lamp stands at the right. Red curtains frame the shrine. Printed copyright text reads over the lower right.2010-02-12A long-haired man in a saffron-orange robe with a multi-coloured flower garland stands at left, holding a brass oil lamp with a lit flame over an ornate shrine. Two deity murtis are seated on a decorated platform: one in a red-and-gold attire with a crown, and a figure in red and gold with a crown. The shrine is draped in marigold and garland strings, with yellow, orange, red and white flowers. A golden kalasha or pedestal stands in front, decorated with a jewelled necklace and garlands, with a pale blue cloth beneath. Balloons and a second saffron-clad person with a mala appear at the left edge. This is an aarti or puja at a temple shrine.2009-12-24A photograph of an evening puja at a temple shrine. A man in orange saffron robes and a long orange head cloth stands at left, holding a lit oil lamp in one hand and a small brass bell in the other, with a wisp of smoke rising. A long gold chain hangs from his neck. Beside him stand brass oil lamps on pedestals. At right, a golden deity murti with a crown and jewelled ornaments sits on a throne, decorated with garlands of yellow and red flowers. In front of the deity, a black stone lingam rests on a draped red cloth. Below, a framed printed portrait of a bearded man in orange robes and rudraksha beads sits on a white cloth covered with flowers, the portrait's caption not legible. Red curtains hang in the background.2010-01-02 +1 copiesA temple shrine scene with a deity murti pair of Shiva and Parvati adorned with gold crowns, jewelry and red silk drapery, decorated with garlands of yellow, orange, red and purple flowers. A standing person in saffron-orange robes with long swept-back dark hair and a rudraksha mala holds a brass bell and a lit oil lamp, offering aarti before the murti. Beside him, a kneeling priest in orange shawl and robes, shaved head, folds his hands in reverence. A white marble statue of a seated sage sits in front of the shrine, with brass oil lamps standing on either side and a shivalinga on a stone yoni base at center. Swamiji (probable): the standing figure shows long swept-back hair, saffron robes and a rudraksha mala, cues consistent with the page's reference to Swamiji at this event, so the appearance is a plausible but not certain match.2010-02-12A temple ritual photograph before a shrine with two seated deity murtis adorned with garlands of yellow, orange and red flowers and gold jewellery. A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala stands centre-left, arms extended over a shivalingam set on a black pitha. Behind and to the left, a priest in orange dhoti and shawl holds a brass vessel, and another attendant in orange holds a lit lamp. A white marble seated figure, brass bowls and a tall brass lamp stand in the foreground.2010-02-12A photograph of a temple shrine with a standing priest in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, a rudraksha-style mala at his neck, performing aarti with a lit oil lamp held before a golden shrine. Two large gilded deity murtis dressed in red and teal silk, adorned with yellow and white marigold garlands and jewelled crowns, dominate the niche. Brass oil lamps stand on the altar, and a white-draped seated figure in orange and red garlands sits before them. Brass vessels and a kalasha-like pot lie on the floor, with trees and a fence visible outside.2010-11-11A photograph inside a temple shrine showing a deity murti pair seated on a golden throne draped in red cloth, adorned with yellow and orange marigold garlands and multicolored flower garlands, with a gold crown and jewelled necklaces. In front, a standing figure in an orange robe with a rudraksha mala and long dark hair pours liquid from a small gold vessel while a kneeling man in orange robes on the left extends his arms toward the altar. A black shivalinga stands on a dark pedestal, with a small white seated marble figure and a brass lamp nearby, and tall brass oil lamps flank the shrine. Some visible flower petals lie on the stone floor. The standing figure has distinctive long hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha beads, so the appearance is a probable match for Swamiji, shown performing abhishekam at the shrine.2010-02-12A photograph inside a temple shrine at dusk.
