Outdoor photo of a crowd gathered on a raised stone platform at an ashram grounds, with a metal scaffold canopy and trees behind. A large white banner shows a man in orange and saffron clothing with a tall orange turban and a second smaller banner below shows a similar figure, both labelled with Tamil script. Women in white and coloured saris and men in dark shirts stand watching; drummers in white dhotis play drums at left, and a decorated temple-car or palanquin with colourful arches stands at left. Men in dark clothing pull a thick rope in the foreground, as at a procession. Several men in dark shirts and white dhotis stand near the drums.
