Outdoor photo of a Ganesha murti visarjan, the immersion of a clay Ganesha idol in a muddy pond edged with palms and bushes. A shaven-headed man in a rust-orange cloth lifts a brass aarti lamp with a flame toward the idol. Beside him a man in orange robes and a rudraksha mala stands in the water, his face and arms smeared with red and pink powder. Two men in striped and white shirts carry the idol on a wooden platform, one also marked with coloured powder. The idol has a tall gold crown, a red and yellow headdress, a white cloth and ornate jewellery, and its trunk is painted red and gold. Dry grass, a stone outcrop and a cloudy sky complete the scene.
