A large, shaved-headed figure's back is turned toward the camera in a long-haired, long-braided pose wearing a maroon/brown cloth and a rudraksha-style strand, facing a decorated deity murti of Hanuman under a gold arch framed with red, orange and white marigold garlands. Several devotees in saffron and orange robes sit or kneel at left, hands joined, and a bronze oil lamp with a flame sits in front of the shrine on a red cloth. Water and a rising, dusty sky fill the background. In the foreground a man with long dark hair, a white forehead mark and a heavy gold necklace, wearing a rust-red robe with a saffron-gold border, walks forward holding a tall gold-topped staff. Behind him, several men in rust-red and orange robes carry long poles and staffs, and an attendant in white stands at the right edge. At left, a bald man in red-orange robes and a white shawl holds a ceremonial item. A decorated canopy with a white top, red fringe and colourful tassels stands over a small platform in the water, with fountain jets spraying. The figure with long hair and gold necklace matches the Swamiji (probable) cues of long swept hair and ornate gold ornaments, shown walking in procession.2015-02-19Outdoor ritual at a stepped stone tank beside a tiered amphitheater with orange flags. In the foreground a long-haired bearded man in an orange-saffron cloth and a long dark-brown rudraksha-style garland stands at the water's edge with hands joined. Behind him a line of saffron-robed men and boys with shaved heads and bare chests stands on the steps, palms pressed together. On the right two attendants in orange cloths hold a multicoloured fringed ceremonial umbrella and a magenta parasol over the scene. Spectators in white and coloured clothes sit on the steps in the background. A small white fan and water bottles sit near the ritual items at the edge. The image shows a ceremony at the tank and the central figure has distinctive long hair, saffron clothing and garland cues, so a probable identification is noted in appearance terms only: a person, presiding at the tank ritual.2016-10-11December 12 20162016-12-12April 25 20132013-04-25January 02 20092009-01-02
