An outdoor gathering under large shady trees on dry red-brown earth. Dozens of seated attendees, many in khaki-olive uniforms and some in white shirts, face a row of standing officials in white shirts and dhotis along a long white-draped table set with flower arrangements. A man in an orange-saffron shawl stands at the centre of the table. Behind them hangs a banner with printed text, and a cream-and-pink banner is visible beside it. A loudspeaker stands at right beside a parked silver SUV, and a person in white stands at far right addressing the crowd. A cameraman is visible at left.

A woman in the foreground wears a saffron-orange shawl and a man at centre left presses his palms together in anjali. Saffron flags on bamboo poles stand at the upper right, and white cloth hangs from a tree trunk. The crowd appears to be listening or in worship, consistent with a guru pooja gathering.2006-10-21
