In the centre, a decorated palanquin with an orange canopy and a red-and-gold ornamented top is carried forward, with garlands on its base. Men in white dhotis and shirts walk around it, several playing hand drums, one in a red shirt and dark maroon dhoti, another in a blue shirt and orange dhoti. Other participants hold colourful umbrellas and tall yellow-tipped staffs, and some wear yellow shawls over white clothing. The scene is a temple-style procession with drumming and ceremonial umbrellas.2010-02-12Outdoor procession at an ashram under a bright sky, with banana plants behind. A red carpet runs down the center between rows of white-clad men. Several men in white kurtas and saffron/orange shawls walk along it, and an orange-robed figure stands near the middle. Drummers in white with drums and a horn player (nadaswaram-style) line the edges. Large colorful umbrellas with fringed trim and dove emblems shade the scene. Some men hold video cameras.2007-01-01December 05 20142014-12-05December 22 20102010-12-22August 15 20172017-08-15December 20 20102010-12-20January 12 20172017-01-12December 22 20102010-12-22January 01 20122012-01-01
