A man with a bare chest, rudraksha malas and a red-and-orange cloth reaches forward with palms pressed together over a brass plate holding a yellow flower garland and leaves. Beside him, a man in a saffron robe with a gold chain and a long green-and-red flower garland smiles and extends his hand. Around them, men in white shirts and saffron-clad devotees crowd close, and a bald elderly man in the foreground is partly visible. The scene is a devotional greeting with garlands and offerings.2010-01-08Festival scene under a white canopy with a large gilded deity or throne ornament draped in flower garlands of red, yellow, white and purple blooms. A man in orange robes and gold beaded necklaces and bracelets smiles while touching the shoulder of a man in white in the foreground. Behind them a person in an orange turban and orange garment, wearing a white and orange flower garland, smiles and leans toward the seated figure. At right, a man in orange robes with glasses and a garland bends forward, adjusting fabric.
