A large dark black stone Shivalingam stands on a black circular yoni-pitha base with a water channel pouring off one side during abhishekam. A multicoloured garland of yellow, red, white, green and purple flowers hangs down the lingam, and yellow petals are scattered on the base. Behind it, rows of people in white clothes sit on red tiered steps in meditation or prayer, some with hands joined. At the top, two men stand behind the lingam; the one in the centre wears a red-and-gold garland and presses his palms together in namaste. Red draped fabric and flower strings decorate the stage above.
