A colourful multi-tiered gopuram, the ornate entrance tower of a South Indian temple, rises against a pale blue sky. Its upper levels are densely covered with painted stucco sculptures of deities, figures and animals in red, blue, green, yellow and white. The stone base below has a dark recessed doorway with plain brown carved pillars. A bare paved courtyard in the foreground is empty of people. No physical people or identifiable a person figure are visible.
