July 31 20152015-07-31Outdoor photo of a devotee in a rust-red turban and orange-red robe, wearing layered red and white flower garlands and gold-trimmed beaded necklaces, flinging yellow and orange flower petals with one raised hand. Behind him, another robed devotee in orange holds a woven basket of yellow marigold petals. Stone steps and a railing lead down to a water tank, its edge strewn with red and yellow flowers, and a blurred crowd sits on the steps.2015-07-31July 31 20152015-07-31A smiling man in a rust-red turban and saffron-orange sannyasi robes sits on a flower-covered platform beside a steel railing at a stone-stepped water tank. He wears long red and white flower garlands, rudraksha-style beaded mala necklaces with gold-toned beads, and a bangle on his wrist. Attendants in white and orange robes around him hold woven baskets and scatter petals; marigold and white chrysanthemum petals cover the platform. Another figure sits on the steps in the background. The appearance of this man is consistent with the probable Swamiji cues of turban, saffron-orange attire and rudraksha malas, and the page indicates Swamiji was present at this event, so he is labelled Swamiji (probable) in this in-person photo.2015-07-31July 31 20152015-07-31Photograph from above of an outdoor abhishekam at a stepped tank. A man seen from behind wears a rust-red turban with gold trim, a red-and-gold shawl draped over bare shoulders, a red and white flower garland, and a gold-and-white beaded necklace. He raises a silver vessel overhead. Beside him, a bald priest in red-and-saffron cloth with a rudraksha mala and white forehead markings sits at the edge. Below, a large mound of marigold and rose petals sits on a platform flanked by red-and-gold draped structures. Rows of people in white clothes sit on the stepped embankment behind.2015-07-31A smiling man in a rust-orange turban and saffron-orange robe stands in the foreground, a basket of yellow and white flower petals raised above his head as petals scatter through the air. He wears a long layered red and white beaded garland and has a wooden-bead rudraksha-style necklace. Behind him, another person in white and orange holds a basket overhead. Red-and-white stone steps rise behind a metal railing, with several people in white and orange sitting or standing on the steps and a banner at left. A flower-petal shower in an outdoor ceremonial setting. Identity cannot be confirmed from appearance.2015-07-31A basket of marigolds and red flowers is being tipped over a stone-edged bathing ghat, scattering yellow and orange petals in motion onto a pile of flowers and a dark cloth below. A person in a red shirt and dark trousers pours the basket, and at the right edge a man in a white dhoti with a bare upper body and a bronze armband stands at the railing, plus a partly visible figure in white near the edge. Green water and red striped steps lie behind.2015-07-31July 31 20152015-07-31A man in a rust-red turban and saffron-brown robe stands on a raised platform with both arms lifted overhead. He wears a long red and yellow flower garland with a rudraksha mala across his chest, and the platform is heaped with white and yellow flowers at his feet. Behind him, orange-robed men with white sandalwood marks on their bodies and shaved heads stand near a metal railing, and a stepped stone amphitheatre with rows of seats and red flags fills the background. Swamiji (probable): the turban, red-and-gold garlands, rudraksha mala and ceremonial reception on the platform are the qualifying cues for the lead figure, who is honoured as a guest of a satsang event.2015-07-31July 31 20152015-07-31A photograph taken under a white tent at an outdoor ceremony. In the foreground, a man in a white kurta lifts a woven bamboo basket high, pouring white flower petals onto a heap of white jasmine-like blossoms. A woman in a green and gold sari with a white garland stands at the centre, beside a pile of loose petals. Behind them, a figure in saffron-orange robes with a long rudraksha mala and a gold necklace stands near a basket of flowers; the saffron robes and mala are visible cues, so this may be a person, appearing in person. To the right, long garlands of yellow, red and purple marigolds hang beside a golden structure. Red and white draped cloth lines the tent, and a large audience sits in rows across the background.2010-01-01
