December 11 20132013-12-11Outdoor gathering on a concrete courtyard under a pale sky, with a tall wooden staff topped by a white finial and a potted tree in the foreground. A figure in an orange-red robe sits cross-legged on a leopard-print seat with a tiger-skin-like pattern and an orange cloth, raising one hand toward the crowd; the figure wears a rudraksha mala and appears to be a person by ornaments and robe, though the face is not visible enough to confirm. Around them, a large crowd in white clothing with red-and-white lanyards and beaded malas holds up cameras, phones and tablets, with a man in a patterned beige kurta and orange-brown cloth at centre and a woman in a turquoise top crouching. Red and white flags flutter in the background beside a small roofed structure.2013-12-11December 11 20132013-12-11December 11 20132013-12-11December 11 20132013-12-11December 11 20132013-12-11Outdoor group photo on a concrete rooftop with a volcanic mountain and hazy sky behind. A man seated on a gold ornate throne wears a rust-orange robe and stands at the centre of the group, with a long-haired, distinctive appearance and gold ornament; the identification is uncertain, so he is described by role as a seated sannyasi on a throne. Around him stand devotees in white kurtas and white dresses with red-and-white lanyards, several holding gold-tipped trident staffs and orange-and-gold ceremonial flags; a woman in a rust-orange sari stands at right. Seated in front, children and adults sit on an orange cloth, including a curly-haired boy in a blue striped shirt and a girl in a pink dress. Stone urns and foliage frame the left edge.2013-12-11A group photograph taken outdoors on a stone terrace with a misty volcanic mountain and lake behind.
