Around its base, a circular stone platform surrounds the trunk, and a small figure in white clothing stands near the trunk, with another white-clad person further back. On the right, a black stone statue of a seated deity is draped in orange and yellow cloth and rests on a raised orange-coloured platform inside a black-edged circular enclosure. Several white metal poles and a rope hang from the branches.2010-08-08October 24 20102010-10-24 +1 copiesA large, sprawling banyan tree with many aerial roots and wide spreading branches forms a shaded canopy over an outdoor grounds area. Beneath it stands a small shrine on a round concrete platform, with a mound of red-orange powder or pigment and a dark statue wearing an orange cloth. Thin white poles and a hanging rope are visible around the tree, and a shallow dark pool and low stone-edged planters sit on the dusty ground. No people are visible in the scene.2010-11-30November 06 20122012-11-06October 20 20102010-10-20September 07 20092009-09-07July 16 20132013-07-16September 11 20132013-09-11September 25 20132013-09-25July 12 20132013-07-12A photograph of an outdoor shrine beneath a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots and spreading branches. A statue of a robed figure in orange and yellow garments stands on a black pedestal beside a mound of red-orange powder, with a black-and-white bordered ring around its base. A person in white clothing kneels in prostration on the sandy ground in front of the statue, and another person in white stands near the trunk. Concrete circular platforms, white poles and pale benches surround the tree. Dappled shade covers the ground.2010-08-08
