A wide, murky brown river in flood stretches across the frame, with sandbars and partly submerged rocks breaking the surface in the midground. Two small figures stand waist-deep in the water near the center, and a couple of other people are visible on a rocky outcrop to the right. Green tree-like shrubs and a dry, flat bank with distant dense vegetation and a power line form the background under a hazy sky.
