A wide, murky brown river flows across the frame under a hazy pale sky, with sandbanks and exposed sand islands in the middle and green vegetation and trees along the far bank. Small distant figures are faintly visible on a sandbank at the upper right, and a small structure stands near the far shore. The scene shows a broad riverbed with low water and shallow channels.
