A colourful gopuram-style superstructure with painted deity and figure sculptures stands at the left above an open pillared mandapam with stone columns. A long plain grey stone wall runs right, topped with a painted cornice in red, green and yellow and a row of small sculpted animal figures, including bulls and lions, with a larger deity sculpture above. No people are visible. A faint shadow of a tree falls across the wall.2012-02-08A photograph of a South Indian temple courtyard seen through metal crowd-control railings. A tall, colourfully sculpted gopuram tower with painted deities and figures rises in the background beside a smaller domed shrine tower. Grey stone pillars and a corrugated metal roof frame the scene, and wooden poles brace the structure overhead. Two people stand near the railings: one in dark clothing and one in an orange sari or wrap.2012-05-24February 08 20122012-02-08February 08 20122012-02-08February 08 20122012-02-08A photograph of a South Indian temple gateway and colonnaded hall in daylight. Stone pillars with carved capitals line a shaded walkway paved in stone, and a leafy tree overhangs the left side. A few people are visible at a distance, a standing figure in light clothing near the left pillars and a seated person near the right base, and no one is identified.2012-02-08February 08 20122012-02-08A photograph of a stone temple courtyard with a carved stone shrine pavilion and colourful patterned ceiling. A long-haired figure in a saffron-orange robe with a swept-back dark hair and a shawl stands barefoot at a stone shrine, touching its pillar. Behind them, a man in white dhoti with a bare upper body and a shaved head holds a pink bag and a kalasha-like vessel, and a person in white holds a camera. A man in orange robes stands at the left edge. Palm trees and a wooden scaffold sit behind the shrine.2011-09-09September 18 20062006-09-18A sunlit exterior of a South Indian temple complex with a granite pillared mandapa in the foreground and a colourful multi-tiered gopuram tower with painted sculpted figures rising above. Several people stand and walk near the stone pillars, including a man in a white shirt and dark trousers at right and a few devotees in white and pastel clothes near the entrance. A motorbike is parked at the base of the pillars and a white car is partly visible at left. Long iron-barred windows line the white-walled hall at right, with a red and white striped wall beyond. No clearly identifiable person in saffron or ornate ceremonial dress is visible, so no a person candidate is present.2012-07-23May 22 20122012-05-22
