In the centre, a bare-footed sannyasi in saffron-orange robes with a long swept-back hair and a gold-bead necklace and rudraksha mala leads, holding a small book in one hand. Beside him, a younger saffron-clad man with long hair and a crown-like headpiece walks with a rudraksha necklace. An older bald man in orange follows barefoot. Around them, men in white shirts and dhotis, some wearing yellow and red ribbon badges, move through the crowd. A carved gilded panel hangs on the far wall, and a small blue sign hangs on a pillar.2009-01-15August 01 2009 - Kalpataru, Thiruvanaikaval, India2009-08-01July 29 20082008-07-29December 20 20112011-12-20August 01 2009 - Kalpataru, Thiruvanaikaval, India2009-08-01May 07 20122012-05-07A procession of men walks barefoot across a stone-paved temple courtyard beside a stone wall and a colourful gopuram tower. At centre, a man in saffron-orange robes wears a long orange-and-purple shawl, a large marigold garland and a ceremonial gold pendant, with long swept-back dark hair and a painted forehead mark; he has distinctive long hair, saffron clothing and a garland, so this is an appearance-based probable Swamiji candidate in the procession. Around him, men in white dhotis and shirts, some in orange shawls, and bare-chested men with rudraksha-style neck beads and red or orange cloths walk alongside. Several men wear orange scarves and rudraksha malas. About fifteen people are visible.2009-08-11May 22 20122012-05-22 +1 copiesJanuary 18 20102010-01-18 +1 copies
