Outdoor photograph beneath a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots. A person in a saffron-orange robe and matching orange head wrap, with a rudraksha mala around the neck, sits cross-legged on a woven mat holding a brass lamp with a lit flame while facing upward. Two people in white clothing kneel nearby on the bare earth, bending forward over brass plates. Brass plates with yellow flower petals and offerings sit on a white cloth and on the ground, and a stone border lies at the right edge. This appears to be a ritual puja or aarti performed at the base of the tree.2004-05-062003 -Glimpses From Various Programs2003-01-01 +1 copies2003 -Glimpses From Various Programs2003-01-01Outdoor photo beneath a large banyan tree with thick aerial roots and white-washed stone platforms around its base.
