A daytime photograph of a large South Indian temple complex under a pale blue sky. Two tall whitewashed gopurams, one with figures standing on its upper platform, rise above trees and scaffolding. In the foreground, multicolored decorated shrine towers stand wrapped in bamboo scaffolding, and a crowd of devotees gathers near painted deity murti and sculpted bulls. On the right, two uniformed police officers in khaki stand near a wooden barrier, one with his hand at his chin. A tall lamp post and a yellow-striped canopy appear at left.
