Photograph of a dense outdoor crowd at the Kumbh Mela riverbank in Allahabad at dusk, with hundreds of pilgrims in shawls, saris, caps and warm wraps. In the foreground a man with long dark hair and a white wrap walks with a staff and raises a camera, and another man in a striped beanie and dark jacket photographs beside him. Saffron and orange flags wave above the crowd, and a red-and-orange flag appears in the centre. Lamp posts and banners line the background along the river, and a woman in a yellow headscarf stands among the crowd. No individual is clearly identifiable as a person by appearance, so the candidate is marked unsure.

In the right foreground a person in orange robes holds a tall pole topped by a gold ornament, and a teardrop-shaped banner with floral borders and a white bird emblem rises above the crowd. Orange flags flank the banner. A shaved-headed man in orange at the right edge is partly visible but his face and identity are uncertain.2013-02-10February 10 20132013-02-10February 10 20132013-02-10February 10 20132013-02-10February 10 20132013-02-10February 10 20132013-02-10
