A smiling man with long swept-back dark hair and a red forehead mark wears a gold-and-orange silk garment and a thick garland of yellow marigolds, green leaves and red flowers. He raises his right palm in greeting toward a group of devotees on the left, several of whom have their palms pressed together in namaskar. On the right, a shaved-headed priest in orange robes with white forehead markings and a beaded necklace stands beside a silver tray. Behind them, a stage is decorated with colourful striped and orange pillars, marigold festoons and a white projection screen. Roughly a dozen people are visible, many partly cropped at the frame edges.2010-10-25 +2 copiesMay 19 20122012-05-19December 31 20102010-12-31December 22 20102010-12-22October 20 20102010-10-20A photograph of a devotional gathering at an ashram. In the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair wears a saffron-orange shawl over the shoulder, ornate gold-toned necklaces, and a beaded rudraksha-style mala, and extends his hand to greet a smiling man in white dhoti and shawl with a white-and-red forehead mark. Around them, devotees in casual clothes, a boy in a yellow shirt, and a young man in a black top stand close, and a silver tray with garlands is visible at the right edge. Behind them, more people in white ritual clothing and a red-and-white pillar complete the setting. Appearance-based cues on the central figure are distinctive, so he is a probable candidate for a person shown in person.2010-12-28September 11 20122012-09-11November 03 20112011-11-03February 02 20132013-02-02October 26 20102010-10-26
