A photograph of a ritual bathing scene in a red-walled sunken pool with tiered steps. Water sprays down from above in a heavy shower. In the centre a decorated platform with a white canopy and a seated figure in orange robes sits on a raft of flowers, with garlands of marigolds and yellow and pink blossoms draped around it. Around the platform, many people in white clothes wade through waist-deep water, some holding hands in a chain, with yellow sashes visible. Spectators in white and orange clothes stand on the steps at the upper right. The seated figure is a devotee-led ceremonial presence; no appearance-based identification is made, so the figure is described only by role and clothing.

A photograph of a floral-decorated palanquin-style platform carried through shallow water at a stone-stepped tank, with water spray filling the left side. Seated on the platform is a figure in an orange robe with a white garland, surrounded by bouquets of red, purple, yellow and white flowers and a white canopy with orange fringe. Men in white dhotis and white shirts with yellow sashes wade around and push the platform. On the steps behind, devotees in white, yellow, red and green clothing stand with hands folded and watch. The seated figure's identity cannot be determined from appearance alone, so the person is described by role as a seated honoured figure on a decorated palanquin in a procession. A figure with long dark hair in saffron/orange robes and a red-and-orange garland sits on a gold-and-red throne under a floral-decorated arch and canopy on a raised orange platform. Around the platform, many men stand waist-deep in water, mostly in white dhotis and white garments, some with yellow sashes, some bare-chested, a few in orange robes. Marigold and red flower garlands decorate the platform and railings. The seated figure has long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and a ceremonial garland, matching the page's Swamiji cues, so this is a probable appearance-based identification of a seated figure on a throne in an in-person setting. Devotees splash and bathe in the water around the platform.2010-10-17January 02 20102010-01-02 +1 copiesJuly 26 20102010-07-26July 26 20102010-07-26
