Dense night crowd of devotees pressing together under strings of marigold and white garlands and small electric bulbs at a temple festival. Many people raise their arms and hands toward a central area where a figure in white and red-bordered clothing stands near a lit brass oil lamp. One man in the foreground has a vertical kumkum mark on his forehead and is looking sideways, while a woman at the lower right wears a dark top and glasses. Some devotees fold their hands in prayer. A signboard with Tamil lettering hangs above the crowd. The scene conveys a packed darshan or aarti moment with lamps and flowers around the crowd.
