A photograph of a crowded indoor hall during a ritual. A central figure in a red-orange wrap and white garland stands with his head bent forward while a man in a light pink shirt holds a small vessel and pours or sprinkles liquid over the top of his head. Around them devotees in white and pale shirts crowd close, some with hands raised and others watching. A man in a light blue shirt stands at right holding something near the central figure. Bright daylight comes through windows at the back, and a large metal container sits in the lower right corner. The central figure's appearance is consistent with a ceremonial presentation but not distinctively enough to confirm a particular person.

A man with a shaved head and bare upper body wears an orange-saffron cloth and multiple rudraksha malas, with a red headband. He stands at right, pressing a hand to the forehead of a seated man in a white shirt, while another devotee in white clothing with folded hands stands at left. Several other men in white and light clothing stand behind them, and a partly visible shaved-headed priest in orange appears at the edge. The man in saffron appears to be a person by his distinctive ornate orange clothing and multiple rudraksha malas, placed in a blessing gesture.2012-05-13A photograph of a devotional exchange in a temple setting. A woman in an orange-brown sari with a white flower garland and a dark bindi places her hand on the head of an older man in a white shirt who bows forward with hands joined. Behind her, a bald man in white ceremonial dress with a yellow sacred thread and a shawl watches. On the left, a shaven-headed monk in orange robes is partly visible, and a camera operator stands in the background. The setting appears to be a pooja or blessing moment with a cushioned seat and a bright, sunlit background.2012-06-21May 19 20122012-05-19 +1 copiesPhoto 11734053 +2 copiesJuly 18 20112011-07-18 +1 copies
